Re-Connect
A weight upon my chest I feel,
An unexplained sorrow, oh so real,
They say happiness is contagious,
But sadness too, and it's outrageous.
What we consume, it affects us all,
The things we see, the things we fall,
Into a pit of disconnect and gloom,
A cycle of despair, a suffocating room.
It's not just our brain, but our soul,
That needs attention, to feel whole,
We may not be depressed, but lost,
In a world of distraction, the true cost.
Our devices, they're not our friend,
But a foe, that consumes, till the end,
We must make time, for ourselves,
To reconnect, to heal, to delve.
Let's put down our phones, for a while,
And connect with ourselves, with a smile,
For our mental health, let's take a stand,
And create a life, that's truly grand.
