Ray of Sunshine
I see these cumulus clouds before me
They start to open, and what did I see
Ray of sunshine bursting through the middle
A sight to behold I can’t belittle
It’s like the sparkle of a diamond
A calming, peaceful ray, a silent sound
Just as soon as I saw this gorgeous sight
It vanished back to the clouds of the night
Entrant into Seren Roberts' "Shaft of light" contest
