Rattles, Bleats and Repeats

Don't call it a carry-on
It may not fit under a seat
Nor an overhead bin item
Loose -- it rattles, bleats and repeats

You might well ask airlines
Their fee for a walking cane...
Why, there's no charge at all; they're free
They're what? ~ Are airlines gone insane?

I used to work for an airline, at a time when they valued customer service and did not charge extra for a snack or a seat assignment - how things have (sadly) changed!

Things sure have changed on airlines... Just flew to NYC and back last week. The whole experience was just nightmarish (at best). Thanks for the comment, Michelle. :) gw

Air travel has been some times ago, and well after that I've acquired a walking cane--thanks for the 'head's up' GW, Aloha wk

Canes -- the one freebie left in the air travel industry...but for how long?! Thanks for commenting, William. :) gw
