Ration of Compassion

What I wanted and needed was a ration Of kindness, consideration and compassion All mixed together for me to be satisfied by Whether I am happy or may want to cry. God has given each one of them to me And with Him surely will always agree The most are exactly what I did need Even when hurt and happen to bleed. God gave me them for me to provide To others who with I now do abide From here to there and coast to coast Mainly for them who need it the most. Maine is a state on one of the coasts I think. Don, You are right. It is as if every part of our lives is polarized and we must choose between the two. The same with writing poems. I usually know how my poem is going to start out but not how it is going to end up. Jim Horn
