Rapid Memories

Rapid memories swiftly flood School days pleasant and bad Two huge Live Oaks still remain there Where jumping fun was had Sometimes doubles, sometimes hot rope Was swiftly thrown by all We'd jump until a small misstep Or trip, 'pon the ground fall Then our turn to throw the plow line Skill was soon developed Wonder if I could still throw doubles Now with love envelope A man who used to work for my husband is in a nursing home now which was at one time a school that I attended..We went to see him on Sunday and this poem came to me..

It's funny how returning to a building from our past can bring back so many memories.... I'm reminded everyday when I drive by the elementary school that I went to, and those memories will stay with me forever.... I really enjoyed reading your poem today, Sara. It's very nostalgic, and very well written!
