Rainy Days
These stormy days cause me to muse
on diff’rent points of thought
about perspectives that we choose
when in the rain we’re caught.
While raindrops curl around your heart,
they hide my tears from view;
for you sweet thoughts of love impart;
for me they hide the blue.
While you will seek the rainbow's end,
and puddles you can splash;
I seek shelter for to fend
as storm and thunder crash.
Yet still we both enjoy the rain
for different reasons said;
you yearn to feel the drops again;
I’d rather stay in bed.
