Rainy Day Dreams

Rainy Day Dreams

How sweet’s the lovely scent and sound of rain
As I look out amidst the sultry storm
From bursting clouds upon the window pane,
I feel the chills on my svelte body's form.
The thrill of thunder claps and lightning too,
When shivers crawl and creep along my spine,
I'm warm inside with true love's dreams of you.
My dreams of kissing you are so divine.
Yet you know not my secret thoughts there-of.
Perhaps in spring one golden day you'll see
How deeply my heart longs to know your love;
Of yearning hidden hopes encased in me.
*The storms are raging on the rollin' sea,
And on the highway of regret* they be.

2-11-20

*The storms are raging on the rollin' sea, and on the highway of regret - Bob Dylan - Make you feel my love

Hi Connie, firstly, thank you for the wonderful news about your daughter and her baby. It does the heart good to know that everything is not gloom and doom, there is still much to let the light within. This is such a wonderful write. The storm is something that has ever given my heart peace. I feel alive in the midst of a storm. I look at your poem in two ways, Connie, the storm within ourselves and the storm of nature. Your words sing. A fav. Have a wonderful evening. Hugs....Mike. XX

I wrote this specifically for the contest Mike So of course it is fictional. I appreciate that you liked it so much as to fave it. That means a lot to me and I thank you very much for that. I too love the rain and the thrill of a storm. I would not like to be on the sea however during a storm. Keep safe. xxoo
