I can relate to every word of this. For quite a while, I lived in a broken down old van. People used to ask me - "How can you get to sleep with the sound of rain hammering down onto the roof?" They just could not understand why I found the sound of the rain so comforting and soothing. I suppose most people only hear noise...not the melody. Love your poem! :) john
