Rain Shoes

A fellow tenant asked me, “Do you think that it will rain?” She carried an umbrella, so Her thoughts were very plain. “I heard it might this afternoon,” I answered in reply. “I wore my rain shoes just in case,” She said, explaining why. A glance revealed some normal flats, Not waterproof-appearing, But maybe older ones to wear When raindrops might be nearing. I understood her right away For I would never chance A rain-soaked pair of favorite shoes With warnings in advance.

Somehow I think that you've come to this resolve due to past learned experiences. :) And thank goodness that we do huh? They don't give them things away. :)<3

I had not even thought about changing shoes during rainy weather. Luckily I wear very casual shoes. My rain boots were left at school this year; where I need them the most anyway. Your poem was fast-paced and fun Ilene.

Recent research has established that good health requires walking (or wading) barefoot, but I think most folks are satisfied with the wine! Ditto Jan! Aloha! Rico
