Rain Rain
Spent four years in the sun
Wished for tears
yet there were none
Clouds promised and passed me by
Yet they too
would not even sigh
The earth moaned in its arid dust
Yearning for even a hint
a scent of rust
Winds blew and brought hue
For four years
I thought of you
All began a new song
Old man take away the sun
forgive all that Ive done wrong
Rain, rain
Don't go away
We need you to stay
Bring again the bow in the sky
Which showed the promise
the one from up high
Sigh oh cloud enough to gain
Changing the song
old man let the rain stay
