Rain Dances

The blazing sun withered the land, Like a young heart burning with lust; Virginity covered in dust. Rain dances and a farmer’s hand. Beneath her smile an endless cry. For without love, her heart would die. Drenching waters flooded the sand. Forever rushing through her brain; Purity would never be the same. The unexpected flurry…grand. Those years without hope took a toll. Love danced and prayers saved her soul. Copyright January 13, 2014 Dane Ann Smith-Johnsen

Thank you for stopping by to read...and comment. It has been too long since I have posted on the soup. . I am hoping to write more often on Poetry Soup, again. I did self-publish a couple of poetry books this year, which took a lot of time. Plus, I worked on a co-write for which we are waiting on the copyright. So, my time away wasn't wasted. I have missed many of my friends, though...missed on facebook, too after the redesign of the site many months ago. Anyway, so glad you stopped by to say hello. I do think of you and wonder how you are doing at times. Sorry to have lost connection. It is nice to see you, again.
