Rags to Riches in Panto Time

'Twas Christmas when Cinder’s went to the ball In the most romantic season of all She looked so pretty A prince so dishy Danced each dance with her, till she heard her call. The call came when the clock struck at midnight Cinder's ran quickly as she could, in fright Before her best dress Became repossessed As her fairy godmother said it might. It so happened she lost one glass slipper That made poor Cinder's heart take a dipper All know the glory Of Cinder's story Prince Charming wed her, it’s out on twitter.

I have always loved the Cinderella story - so romantic, so perfect. i met my Prince Charming at a wedding and we danced all night, and we both fell in love almost instantly, and the next day a vase of 24 red roses were delivered with an I LOVE YOU message, yet we only got married 25 years later. So I do love this poem very much. Hope you are well my friend, hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Jennifer you have a lovely story of romance, meeting your Prince Charming at a wedding and dancing all night together, just like Cinderella. Such a lovely gesture from your Prince, 24 roses and an ‘I Love You’ message the very next day. It has to be love, getting married 25 years later. Love changes everything, sooner or later… Blessings and hugs… Beryl

Hi sister Beryl, your certainly the belle of the ball, good luck in the contest, sadly the best poem doesn't always win for some reason.

That’s so nice of you brother John. I enjoy entering contests, win or lose, because they inspire the muse. It doesn’t really matter at all, poets know themselves whether their poem is good or not, we are our own poetry judge… Sis Beryl
