Race Track
Ok, I used to have a bit of a lead foot long ago
When I got my share of speeding tickets
Maybe I should have been a race car driver, I don’t know
I never ended up in the thickets
But, maybe it’s best I’m a writer today
I can speed with my words all I want to
On roads of sentences, I find my way
While reaching for the sky so blue
I have since learned to drive on slow
I’ve learned from mistakes, life is not a car show
