Quitting Getting On My Own Nerves
Snacking on seaweed and banana today
To see if it improves my mood
Hopefully my vitamin investment will pay
And my perspective will become unskewed
My busy brain has ceased to be
I'm currently numb instead
I'd love to imagine it's because I'm free
But believe it's another trick of the head
I've set myself a couple of tasks
The library and a hair cut
Pondering my many different masks
And that cut rhymes with just nut
Off I go on the cusp of change
A new and improved version
It's natural I'll feel strange
But I need to fight against reversion
It's basically 'getting on my own nerves'
I declare it rather freely
Though saying such things diminishes my reserves
I'll just be calm ideally
