Quiet Charity
What good charities lie in men unsung
Who fortune smiled on loud and long?
Quiet, do some share their wealth ‘til done
To help the poorest of us, get along.
Wish I as they were, as they humbly are
Quiet charity lessons unselfish given
As kindness returns, kindness’s spread far
Back to those serving, as they too are driven.
For surely yes, when ill befalls
When they too, take their sorry turn at debt
Balance returns, scales equal weigh
As chaos, and nothing, again equal set.
