Quiet

One breath, One beat of the heart, In the silence, the second hand ticks. Pausing in this moment of time – Is it time wasted, or time to collect my thoughts? Better yet – this is time to commune with you, Lord! For when I am vexed, You quiet my soul. When I look through the window and see the world, I can see You working in everything. No life is a waste – You use all. You mold the common and the noble. Help me, in this stillness, to always be aware; You are the sustainer of every breath, For every soul – Oh God, how deeply you care.
