Quickly, Into the Black
Run your fingers across the fault line-
feel the twitch, as I try to consume the urge
to let the collision slaughter my temple.
Sing me songs, with your Merlot tongue.
Cradle me with the cadence of the drifting
star you said was to be our home-
When the sky was more than just a blanket
for a lying horizon.
Promise me we can still follow the glimmer.
That we can be quick.
(I can feel it fading)
There’s so much distance
between our fall,
and forever.
