Put your heart ‘round me
that I may find understanding
safe from the cold winds of life
safe from hatred.
Put your heart ‘round me
that I may find kindness
safe from the ice of jealousy
safe from fear.
Put your heart ‘round me
that I may find peace
safe from the searing heat of anger
safe from conflict.
