Protecting the Public

when M.I.A flipped off the world while performing at the superbowl, folks at the FCC gasped & talk of preserving the integrity of the show has now been discussed, as if there is no higher level of cultural achievement (therefore, needing to be preserved in amber to pass on to generations) than to strut around smack dab in between a bunch of muscle men slamming their heads together while running around after a little leather ball--- we, the public, need to be protected, says the FCC, who desperately tries to keep a few channels on the television from being polluted with the realities that exist in the world in which we actually live--- their motive, as in all modes of relentless attempts at censorship, is to create some kind of fantasy world for “the children”--- what child grows up healthy in such a place, where they never experience any contrary ideas than what their parents, church, government or school might thrust down their throats, until they are considered adults? what adults walk the earth, having never come across anything deemed “profane?” rather than the FCC & the like trying to protect us from the realities of ourselves, we should protect ourselves from those that try & pretend as if we were not “vulgar”--- the most vulgar of performers in the world are those that do their best to hide what really is happening.
