Promise of Victory In God
With a promise of victory* in God for His glory
Sealed by His granted salvation from hell’s fury…
I can win over self-pity’s misery.
With a promise of victory in God to exalt His name
Prioritizing Him, denying worldly fame…
I can overcome self-reproaches’ blame.
With a promise of victory in God through His sanctification
Grateful to Him for eternal redemption…
I can conquer self-glory’s corruption.
With a promise of victory in God by His faithfulness
Being called to walk in His holiness…
I can persevere over self-righteousness’ haughtiness.
With a promise of victory in God amidst His grace
As His steward working upon His ministry’s brace…
I can face self-confidence devoid of humility’s trace.
With a promise of victory in God based on Scripture
Along with imputed divine nature…
I can succeed over self-exaltation’s fall in my faith-venture.
With a promise of victory in God around His sustenance
Enjoying His supply’s abundance...
I can hurdle self-inflicted crisis due to arrogance.
1Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
