Primavera - Spring

Botticelli and his Primavera-
 
                    a painting
    visually lyrical
          the subjects appear
  sculpted
                  but are painted
         in soft
 delicate strokes
                the women portrayed
  with sparkling eyes
                    and flowing hair
      wearing flower 
                         and filmy dresses
    it is a painting of life 
                 and the awakening 
  of Spring
         as the Zephyr wind
    breathes
            life into all things 
                        while
                    the three graces
     mirth and elegance
                      and beauty dance
       in a green hued 
               garden
          where the sun
                        has banished
  the clouds away
                   and the mood is
         serene
            and tranquil 
   under
         red apple trees
