Pretty Maid -Kyrielle Sonnet
Let me then take this time with you
and gather rose buds gently laid
along this lane that seem but few,
but I’ll chance my luck pretty maid
Canst I not try to overcome
with ardent care thy heart hard staid
to try to change what you’ve become,
but I’ll chance my luck pretty maid.
What vile thoughts darken yea your mind
with my love they can quickly fade .
Your comfort I perhaps not find,
but I’ll chance my luck pretty maid
Let me then take this time with you,
but I’ll chance my luck pretty maid.
