Preparing For a Thanksgiving Feast

A turkey flew over the cuckoo's nest. A net overhead - flight was not his best. Caught in the buff. Now life is rough. Overhears them drooling for drumstick and breast. 11/3/2022

If there were no butchers I’d be saying, ‘Sorry about this, Fella… but you taste too good’… CHOP!…. or maybe I’d just eat sprouts. Fun Limerick… unless you’re a turkey. ;-) Terry

Sightings of wild turkeys have been increasing throughout my state (RI) for years now. Some are quite large, others quite dead of our highways – not smart enough to avoid being hit by trucks and cars. Those who eat them says they are very gamey. Personally I prefer chicken, they're smaller and cheaper and leftovers have a very short refrigerator life. Enjoyed your limerick. / Maurice

The limerick was fun to read. I can't help but feel horrible for this poor turkey.
