Preparation For God's Day

God calls all his elect To worship Him on His day So we need to prepare ourselves For this act come what may We all have different ways That this can be achieved But we must come with humble hearts For this to be believed Praise and prayer is a good start Also understanding God's word is a must But reverence for almighty God Does bring us to obey and trust Finally the object of all this Is that the Lord would appear On His appointed holy day So His will to us be absolutely clear poetgord@2012

In a nutshell, this poem portrays our real purpose on this earth-- preparing ourselves and others for His second coming. I also write a lot of Christain poetry, and find that God is glorified-- these are the ones that come easiest to me. Read my poem "The Greatest Battle Ever Fought"--

That's very interesting that you made the point of preparation for the second coming, is the purpose of the write, I'll have to be honest it was written to look to prepare for each Sunday preparing to meet God in worship but again you are right it can made to think on the Lords final return for us his own.
