Prediction A perfect weather system heading our way Heavy rain for twenty-hours will stay Ice and sleet will pass us by and hit the north Snowfall for some but we don't have a choice Sounds Before the storm a silence and stillness, then Sighing of the pines will slowly begin Doves in their choir will fill the cold air Crows busy cawing out their warnings fair Sights Gray sky seems to touch winter laden earth Bare limbed trees shiver, squirrels eat dearth Swaying of the pines in cold, damp air Slight easterly breeze brings a different flare Storm Storm arrives hours later with a bang Strong pouring rain, lightning and thunder harangue Sleepy Chihuahua awakes with fright Sleep eludes us most of the night

Chihuahua's are rather nervous anyway, so yeah, I can imagine. My dogs and cats always hid during storms. Well done and a great read.

M.L., We had a female Chihuahua that was not afraid of the storm at all, but this little male gets so upset. I am going to get one of those thunder vests that I have seen advertised and see if that will help him be calmer. It puts pressure on them and holding him with some pressure at his chest seems to calm him some so I think the vests may work. Thanks for the nice review. Sara

Sara, I watched on the media that storms and freezing temperatures are buffeting many country regions; I hope you keep safe and warm!

Sara, that sounds like the storm of the year..Feeling fortunate we don’t have to cope with that. Our weather this winter has been so mild, I notice flowering cherry is on the way out, that’s very early. Mind you if we get a cold snap that will set things back. But nothing like your Prediction…stay warm Delice

Delice, Earlier in winter dailies sent out new green growth but that is yellow now. The camellias have bloomed but the white semi-doubled one's got hurt and most fell off. It has fluctuated between warm and freezing but we did not get any snow that stuck. We did get some snow twice. I am glad it did not stick and that we have had power the whole time. Thanks for the visit. It has been comfortable inside the house. Sara
