Notes About The Poem

Precious Moments

For Timothy Lee
Sofa settled with my love and best friend;
content, I could stare at him without end.
I cherish our precious, domestic blend.

Lost in a book or television show,
he is often unaware of my glow,
radiating as I eye-drink him slow.

Even while in his distracted silence
my love for him beats a heart reliance
on even simple days of alliance.

Just staring at his face captivates me.
Glances to his hands raise my body’s plea.
Times looking at him, are times I feel glee.

We kiss-exist in domestic love gifts,
such as my elated, hushed staring lifts
while he clicks the channel and body shifts.

I can confidently say I have been in love, but never acted on it so seeing other people act on it makes me so happy to see.
