Pre Easter Musings 2025
In August of year nineteen sixty-eight,
I was a young healthy man of twenty eight,
and had been told that I had cancer.
God had struck the match that set my fields on fire.
Upon realizing that I could not pay for my sins,
I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior.
I acknowledged His death on the cross, on my behalf,
and the penalty for my sin I deemed paid in full.
At that instant in time I felt spiritually alive,
and the power of sin that once had me bound, was broken.
I immediately felt that I had been given a new role in life.
Though perhaps I’ve failed Him, He has never failed me.
Jesus Never Fails!
