PRAYER MIDST HOPELESSNESS
Our hope is in You, our God...
Since You alone can rescue us from hell’s damnation
Praise be to You for securing us within Your gracious compassion
Keep us feasting in Your peace and joy of assured eternal salvation
As we pray that You help us love You with utmost devotion.
We hope in You, our Lord...
Since You made us heirs of divine inheritance
Praise be to You for guiding us by Your wisdom’s assistance
Keep us dwelling in Your plan enriched with virtuous importance
As we pray that You help us show our faith’s substance.
Make us hopeful, our Saviour...
Since You have cleansed us from sins’ filthiness
Praise be to You for sanctifying us with Your purging forgiveness
Keep us beseeching Your pardon in our repentance-earnestness
As we pray that You help us pursue after holiness.
Surely, we hope in You, our Creator...
Since You redeemed and ordained us unto Your stewardship
Praise be to You for molding us thru sovereign perfection-workmanship
Keep us walking upon Your paths of righteousness in our fellowship
As we pray that You help us bring to You our sacrifices’ worship.
Our hope comes from You, Almighty Father...
Since You let us become Your believers, freeing us from religion’s fallibility
Praise be to You for guarding us with Your Word’s immutability
Keep us trusting Your promises, fighting doubt as well as any falsity
As we pray that You help us stand on Your truth’s authority.
Midst hope, we serve You, our Master...
Since You chose us to work for Your glory
Praise be to You for driving us to be empowered by Your Spirit’s victory
Keep us involving in Your purpose of spreading the Gospel story
As we pray that You help us bear fruits in Your ministry.
Despite world's hopefulness, we trust You, our God...
Since You deserve our thanksgiving against pride’s height
Praise be to You for leading us toward Your will and therein delight
Keep us seeking Your presence in our desire to do what’s right
As we pray that You bless* us to shine in Your light.
*1Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
