Praise

By these earthly shores, We sojourn, seek more. By and by each knows, A path each must go. We come each alone, Bear pain's weary moans. We journey with change, Suffer all things strange. Some lose their way here, Forfeit cause with tears. Some are shackled ghosts, Living by death's coast. From birth till death comes, Strides feed restless sum. From pain to complaint, Voice dreary disdain. Life hurls the tragic, Plays with the comic. Life tells sad stories, Pawns wit for glory. Man in a short span, Must to heaven bend. Man in sweet season, Make rhyme of reason. Listen now dear heart, Pain primes words to art. Listen to the wind, Flinging voice unseen. Despite bitter gall, Rise up when you fall. Despite weary times, Let reason make rhymes. Praise the simple things, Dare face what change flings. Praise the life you live, Endow cheer and give. Do work tact that spells, Live wise focus well. Do all the good you can, Live your daily plan. Leon Enriquez 07 September 2014 Singapore
