Pop the Question

one man’s reality ~ is but another chimpanzee mimicry

Monoku quote by poet

Foremost on my mind today
is much the same as yesterday,
but not quite!

A nuanced imperceptibly has taken place

What say!

The cosmos has grown by one light day

Far out!

Very far out,
beyond the observable horizon of space
where there is no space
our bubble grows,

No way!

Well in fact every way
stretching in all directions
onwards, outwards, upwards,
downwards, backwards, and inwards

Inwards, how do?

To the point of where it began!
Oh the Big Bang?
Yes!
I mean no!

Because actually there was no bang
as sound-waves cannot
travel through space
The biggest bang ever
was absolutely silent!

Just shocking!

Hush now
this is going nowhere!

Well actually, it is going somewhere!
expanding billions of miles every second

Goddamm!

So what’s the point?
Exactly what is the point?
You mean, you don’t get it!
I think I get it,
I do get it!
There is no point!
Yes you really do get it!
Sorry to burst your bubble

Pop!!

Hey!
What?
What if the universe bursts its own bubble?

Oh that would just be
a Big Rip
Every particle in space would be ripped
back into its primordial plasmatic state

Like a Big Bang in reverse?
Pretty much so!

Wow!

You mean
You mean?
Say it go on!
You mean, we do it all over again?
Yes!

Pop!!

You’re an idiot!

I know,
so are you!!!

If this wonderful poem was a film it would be called 2023 - A Kavanagh Odyssey. Cheers - Gary

Ha! Thanks Gary, I like to take the reader on trips around our ever spreading universe and beyond, cheers David

Sounds like science fiction. I used to read so many of them but being alone I have no time.

I’d prefer to call it theoretical physics Victor, as indeed that’s what it is, but it makes great reading for me anyway, definitely not everyone’s cup of tea, cheers David

Far Out! You had me at the chimp mimicry. Bang! Bang! Somebody got shot down.

Yep oxymoronic would just about describe me and a lot of my posts, A wrinkle in time might seem pretty tame, compared to the cosmos ripping itself to shreds exponentially, but it did make a great movie, thanks for the vote of confidence on my mental state lol!

"Straight in a roundabout way" If I didn't know you as well as I do, I'd call you on an oxymoron, but nothing you write is moronic. If you're an idiot, so am I. The Big Rip would be much more than 'A Wrinkle in Time.'

Heya Lin, I needed to put the Monoku straight in a roundabout way, we followed our own path by not imitating the chimps, imagine Einstein predicted dark energy as his cosmological constant, but then realised it’s consequences, and said it was the greatest mistake of his life, then decades after his death scientists actually found he was right all along, I reckon the swine knew everything but couldn’t unleash it upon us all at once lol, cheers David

This one reminds me of the movie Mother! It's a psychological freak-out, one shouldn't over-explain it, a fantasy about a poet and a home that reincarnates itself after an inferno takes mother. Its biblical allegories and depiction of violence spark controversy. You take the reader on an outer planetary flight above and beyond into a spaced-outstate of mind, sci-fi? at its best. Let 'er rip professor!

That’s about the size of this one Anaya, theoretical physics has gone pretty insane since Dark Energy was introduced into the mix, nobody really knows where it came from, but if it doesn’t stop, it will rip the whole universe apart in about 22 billion years time, and a new big bang could rebound, quantum physics predicts everything and nothing, I love it, I must watch Mother if I get a chance, cheers David
