I must give shout out to Sara Etgen-Baker as it was her poem "Silence Speaks" and the picture with it that spurred the muse to ponder.....and write these
muted images
reflected in the silence
a Buddha smiles
upon reflection
a gnarled tree mocks itself
as the pond slumbers
mountain shadows creep
slowly becoming taller
as ripples giggle
a Butterflies wings
soft ripples soothe the pond
as the world trembles
nature’s mirror
reflecting on itself
in sunrise prayer
Buddha smiles
as the pond slumbers
as ripples giggle
as the world trembles
in sunrise prayer
