Polly married two different men One called Bill and the other was Ben She lived in two houses With each of her spouses Polly said she would marry again! Polly has her eye set on a third - She is a polyandrous old bird She just loves having sex Her life’s rather complex Polly’s love life is rather absurd! 08-02-17

I heard the word 'polygamy' on the radio and then came across the word polyandrous and woosh the poem stemmed from there lol:-) hugs jan xx

lol Anne Lise I think she has number four lined up too:) I needed a giggle when I wrote this - we have now lost another dear friend to cancer and I have yet another funeral to attend that's 3 in 3 weeks:-(:-( hugs jan xx

Oh, well not everybody could be Polly with so many husbands to balance in her life.. I would be afraid of a black eye when one of them finds out and flairs up with jealousy.. I had read your 2 pair of shoes.. I remember the really life story you wrote of the two boys.. did you read " He Stole My Innocence' a true story of two sisters , but a little of myself, but was not going to say... Hugs ~*

Thanks Eve I think in some cultures it is acceptable for people to have more than one husband - one is enough for me! I read your poem I can't comment on any of them for Richard's contest is too painful and i won't be reading any more:-(

Thanks Niall:-) I needed a laugh today -we learned our friend's husband has passed away so I have yet another funeral to attend. It will be the third in 3 weeks - I must do a poem 3 funerals but no weddings although we did go to one in May:-) hugs jan xx

You can delete my response to you under your comment, Julia, but I'll type it here. As I stated in my FIRST reply to you, not everyone wants to read your poetry. I don't because for whatever reason you've blocked me. You block Jan when it's to your liking. Jan's limerick is founded on the word, 'polyandrous' so using a name with the letter "P" is most befitting. There's no significance as to who posted a poem using the name Polly first, second or tenth, and I've never understood why you're so contentious.
