Pollen Count Is Up

I saw several Johnny-Jump-Ups today In the meadow they have come to play Shouting to me as I pass them by, The pollen is heavy, I’m starting to cry This spring ailment cuts short my walk When I get home, I can barely talk, It seems to be worse than in the fall When the ragweed comes to call But this year spring is heard enough When one can’t breathe, it’s really tough, I can’t hardly wait for a pleasant summer When taking my walk won’t be a bummer.

Allergies and sinus problems make our daily walks harder this time of year too, Milt. Summers here in Texas mean 100 degrees on most days. We have to use our treadmill at the house, the gym, or go inside to walk at the mall or Walmart. Great rhyming in your poem. Bill

Thank you, Bill. I had a friend once from northwest Texas (the name escapes me right now) who said in the summertime they would see a small cloud in the sky and think just maybe it was going to rain, but it never did!

Hank this sounds like a very horrible pollen count "The pollen is heavy, I’m starting to cry"

Oh, yes, my eyes have been watering for days...even inside. My car is absolutely covered with pollen. I have a black car and it is now a mottled yellow/gold.
