Polka Dots

POLKA DOTS In order to be seen, polka dots need a background Otherwise, they could never be found Life is viewed in much the same way If people would only stop and say I see you simply for who you are Your background may not shine like a star But you are made in the image of God And I dare not go where evil trods Our hue may be quite differently seen But it doesn't allow us to be mean All men should strive to look beyond The polka dot syndrome to become fond Of our neighbor who is born with a different hue But still made in God's own image too If in God's eyes color is no blot He doesn't see any polka dots The only color God can see Is the Blood His Son shed for you and me So if you think of races as polka dots God's grace cleanses you of unrighteous spots 21 January 2019 For the contest sponsored by Edward Ibeh
