Politics As Usual

They promise the sun, moon and stars

Kiss all the babies and pass out cigars

          Wild campaign vows are spoken

               When elected they're broken

We should send them all packing to Mars

Amen brother! How about Tritan the moon of Pluto, I hear the ice skating is great up there this time of year, since they all know how to skate soooo well. Thanks for the heads-up. I had written the poem for fun until you alerted me to the contest, thanks again. I sent S-mail back, but it will sound redundant.

Yes, you got that right, Bob! Let the countdown begin as we go to the polls and cast out incumbents. We need some new independent voices who listen to the people! Love, Carolyn
