Words in your mind are tangle you think them through and dangle onto paper a phrase or two tear it up and start anew Add words maybe a rhyme or two mix it with feelings sunny or blue Make em cry make em sigh Be bold or ever so shy Write out the angry mad joyfully pen the glad Tears fall for words so sad wondering is this good or bad Dare to share it's hard to do what will folks think of you Post it and wait Read comments you anticipate Poetry Soup emotions express you gave it a shot your best The poem you wrote months on end nobody like it take it on the chin Then the one you wrote within minutes done it is loved and shared by everyone Poetry Soup well done Poetry Soup do it for fun Just words on paper let them read With those words let them see Words invoke imaginary Words that are me Poetry Soup as for the soul For it your spirit is exposed A good read A sweet deed Make em think Hope it doesn't stink Post a poem it is fun Poetry is for everyone And now my friends this poem is done Poetry Soup is for everyone.
