Poetry and Me
When virgin thoughts appear
they allow the soul to speak in the written script
So other souls can hear,
what is understood through a poem
expressed in such words born of fair reason
Could that poetry and I be of singular union
found deep in my soul's lucidity
when it gives birth to words from passion's felt
needing to be heard
To hold value to each treasure found
when the soul is lonely and cries out in the wilderness
trying to connect the world with wondrous poetic beauty
that transcends the barren landscape of life's colored gray
