Poetry generates magic It's wizardry from a poet's pen Turns a poem into a gem. Whether rhymes be short or epic As long as the message is clear It matters not how they appear. Some poems are classed as classic Long after the poet has gone Words survive to live on and on. Sometimes happy, sometimes tragic A poem is a work of art Motivated straight from the heart. Hilarious or dramatic All kinds of wonderful it’s true Is what poetic poets do. Belle, a nice job in a challenging poetry form. I just did my first one a couple weeks ago, and it can be tricky. I like what you say about poetry being magic and the broad range from short to epic, from hilarious to tragic. Enjoyed this very much! ~ John

That contest must have filled up... how disappointing! You can still submit it to the Strand contest - he accepts any theme, any form, as long as it hasn't won a contest previously. Good luck!

Thank you John. I do enjoy a challenge and I liked doing the Constanza form of poetry very much, for some reason it seems the contest sponsored by Joseph May has been taken down, a disappointment. Belle
