Celestial Seas An anointing beam blazes from breathtaking cosmos clusters illuminating indigo skies in the blissful birth of night. Serenity rules in a captivating vivid view of mountain, sky and lake with silver stars diamond dotted upon a mirror mirage of a languid lake. Musings soar into the heavens unencumbered by restraints of Gaia’s gravitational mass. They soar with the speed of thought into empyrean’s eternity. 6-22-19 ~First Place~ CONTEST no 620 with alliteration style therein,any theme ,any form Sponsor Brian Strand ~Second Place~ picture #2 Poetically Me THIS PICTURE WHAT CHA' SEE Poetry Contest Sponsored by: James Edward Lee Sr.

Congrats on your well crafted piece and award. I noted the repeating use of repeating first letters and sounds throughout the poem. An interesting and effective device.

Charming Imagery. To me this picture was tough to explain. So I have gone for the easy one. All the best.

I coined the phrase Speed of thought a long time ago in one of my poems. It has a story behind it too long to relate. Thank you very much Janis. xxoo

"empyrean" What a word. But I think the picture speaks for itself. Not to take away from this beautiful discription you made. The both of them are very artful.

I love the way you describe the astronomy this person views, Connie. I had similar thoughts when I first saw the picture and I think yours is the kind of entry James is hoping to receive. Best wishes for success! Hugs, Carolyn

I hope so, but never the less I was happy that gorgeous picture inspired my poem. Thank you Carolyn. It has been pouring rain here with uncharacteristic thunder and lightning for the past two days. I love the rain but I wanted it sunny for my son and family who are visiting. xxoo

'Gaia’s gravitational mass' keeps us grounded...but your verse propels us to 'empyrean’s eternity'...lovely write my friend Connie...^WW^...{*J*}

another wow to echo Charles here. YOU really did this challenge well. I wish I could figure out what to say about one of those pictures. My sister just called to say they will be here around noon. That gives me two hours to catch up here. I read your email. Sorry for your health issues, sweetie. I know the feeling to have chronic issues. It really sucks.

As a child, we slept outdoors during the summer months and your vision is certainly better than anything seen on TV - had it been invented then! Good luck! Aloha! Rico
