Please Leave me Alone
Please leave me alone, must be on my own Sad to say today my true love has flown Feeling sad and blue, my severed heart aches I’m in bits and there’s no one I could face. No cares, no despair or troubles at all Love of my life, here I sit and recall How my heart flipped with each luscious kiss Memories of joyful days filled with bliss. Enchanted balmy nights beneath moonlight We’d stroll round the lake till way past midnight The only sounds the hooting call of owls And ripples of waves upon the lake swells. I remember baking cakes together Making pastry finer than a feather For many reasons I loved you dearly Is it honestly over completely. Loving gestures come to mind unbidden Romantic words in the poems written The magic moments I’ll never disown Must be on my own, please leave me alone.

Hi Belle, You have penned such a sad love story that many can relate to. When a love such as this is gone, one just wants to be left alone. Thank goodness it's fiction. Have good day-Alexis

Hi Jennifer, we do seem to think on the same lines, I remember how we both wrote nonsensical poems that included the Milky Way though we wrote them a long time apart. Fortunately for me this poem is fictional. Thank you for your encouragement. Hugs and blessings in return dear friend… Belle

Dear Belle, your gifted pen spills the ache of heartbreak across the page with such tender yet potent poignancy. There is true beauty in the bittersweet reminisce of a lost love in this poetic piece of mourning. Best wishes for a win and warmest wishes for you, my friend.. ~Susan
