Please
Today in this fast paced world,
manners seem to be lost
Where have they gone,
can we find them and bring them back to life.
Growing up manners was part of life and breathing,
bad manners got one punished.
The first word a child would learn was please,
followed by thank you.
If a child dared not say please,
they would get nothing.
A child would learn quickly,
please and thank you made their world go round.
Today these words are not used,
so they left town.
Riding off into the sunset of time,
like many other important words.
Only when manners come back into our lives,
will these words come riding back into our towns.
