Playing With Words Under Fire
She build a bonfire with her flaming words of love
her arson thoughts were like a sulphur match of old
igniting all who warmed themselves to her able,
she was a wildfire burning out of control ;
Then like a blown out candle on a birthday cake
one day he left her side and extinguished the fire
that consumed her soul and left her heart in choke;
little women
has no words
only silence,
begets her *
She took to piracy as a fish takes to shallow water
losing the carbon of her original palpate thoughts
A disheartened squatter sitting by a campfire waiting
for the gloaming, while playing with words under fire;
as the sunset
declined,
the moon became
a great big ball of fire *
She matched her words with the flame of her true self
as all the stars in heaven conspired with zeal & stealth.
to teach her how to write again with steadiness and hope.
The End.
