Playing It Safe

Tease the crowd, post things, small? Ignore over 800 shootings in Chicago. Don’t you dare make a fuss at all. Just sip French wine, nosh on escargot. The truth is, that many do truly care. Yet, the hesitant ones, resist any meaning But they might lose friends, a big scare! They are pale as a dead spider hanging from the ceiling! Thus, puff poetry keeps us smiling and numb. Death, though, oh so grabs our attention. Yet, we choose to play it safe and dumb. We hide itruth under the rug,with conviction. To write sweet things only, makes me queasy! Our freedoms are about to be snatched away. Doing away with six million Jews was relatively easy. Wait till we cannot pen freely, it’s already happening! And yet, you, poet, mute, with nothing to say?

Tell us how you really feel, Panagiota. I agree with what you're saying. Out country is falling apart and those in charge right now will sell us out for power and money. We are heading for a terrible awakening. The so called woke don't even see it coming. Bill

We are on the same page, Bill! Outright deception by You know who. Such as “PUTIN IS THE CAUSE FOR HIGH GAS PRICES.” As inane as blaming my cat! “ There is no inflation!” Tell that to those filling gas tanks or buying food” “ No recession is Coming” Janet Yellen, head in a fishbowl. And finally, the two words HE loves... “White Supremacy”, from his mouth who was against Integration? He needs more bike rides! Crash, boom, ba! Forgot, his spiritual son, Hunter. Heaven help us, And murder threats against SC judges are peace marches? Does he think our heads come to a point? Add on.,” No rights are inalienable”..omg?

'Puff poetry!' Great phrase there... Well, can't expect much from a society where murderers shout 'Hands Off my Body' and cheer a psycho's effort to kill a Supreme Court Judge. Keep whackin' and whalin' away, Pangie!! ~ Just sayin,' Gershon

Thank you for waking me up. I should know better. Sorry. I have untralistic expectations, so what else is new about that? This DOES include me,,,falling short of the mark. Al Sharpton is a hero? So are gangster rappers. And I expect people to know better? No wonder they waltz in puff poetry! Man’s inhumanity to man, nothing new.America is going Marxist full steam ahead. Rights being taken away, censorship. And forever blaming religion, those who work. Once we all are poor, the gov Will take over. I know Hitler is dead. But his ideas light up the dark sky. Being white is a sin. Being a cop? Even worse. Really am concerned. I forgot! I can’t be a woman anymore..just an IT. No law and order? No Constitution. Bye bye America Thanks Panagiota

Glad you are succinct and cut to the chase! Crime is a political football. Their heads in the sand. What can you expect when all people hear is fiction on all news channels but two. As I replied to GERSHON,spreading fear like butter on hot toast. Then, letting criminals free? Every freeloader in the USA is thief. Robbing from ordinary workers to panhandle free rent,free medical care, free food, free phones till they die? A country with no conscience, thinking a biue mask, a vaccine, and food shortages will save us? Enter Karl Marx, Hitler and Goebbles. Thanks, Panagiota

Short story. Embarrassing, too.))was in a posh restaurant in San Francisco decades ago. A virgin, as to how to remove LeEscargot from shell. I squeezed it too hard. Shell went airborne, popped a gent in a fine suit. How embarrassing! No escargot since! -)) but, utilized that material in my comedy act. A plus! Life works out, no enemy can own me, Love, pain, insults, folks who stand up for you, others, take the knife out of me back, please! And why do people who dislike me follow me? Insanity, looking to find Spooky stuff, eh? PS mimics real life, The good, the bad, the ugly. I have only begun to write, but vacationing a bit for now. I, too write privately.)) Pangie, I have not become numb to the news atrocity's, I write fun poems to forget just for a minute. During the depths of the civil war when Lincolns cabinet, chided him for telling jokes, he responded...If I did not tell an occasional joke, I would surely go mad! Don't let anyone tell you what to do, it's not their place to direct your expressions! Poetry can be timely and political, sentimental or earthy, and gritty. I am glad you didn't leave the site. The Battle Royal continues...voila!

Hi, dear, kind Anaya. How are you? All poets differ. Just be you whenever you write. I was simply expressing myself here. No worries. I get nailed for doing so.Am used to it. I do write on controversial topics now and them.. god made you to be the beautiful Poet you are.I know what to watch and what not to. I was hurt when all those kids died in Texas, and sure I wrote about it. I am neither famous nor popular here. Who the dickens cares? I am not here to be a lap dog. And me? Never a follower or groupie. But Ok if people want to be. Life does not care what we do. I am more goofy than serious. I can do stand up with no script.I have done Imrov at Second City.
