Play Me In Your Key.
What melody is that which I hear? Is it the notes that a maestro directs his
orchestra to?
Is the sounds that a tenor flute emits as you make love to me? Play me in your
key.
I hear the universal language of mankind, that dual melody as you play me in
your key.
I am the horizontal line on which your notes are written. That crescendo of
multiple rhythms played simultaneously, never out of sync never off beat as you
play me in your key. I am the lyric that you have composed softly. You are the
composer and I am your opus, tune into me as you play me in your key.
I sigh softly dolce as your fingers caress me like the ivory keys on a baby grand
piano,
I only know that melody as you play me in your key. As you play I become Venus
the goddess of love while you are my cupid and my Eros, play me but play me in
your key.
What melodies do you now compose is that smooth jazz that makes me sway,
like strings on a harp as you play, play me as you would a flute, but play me in
your key.
I am lyrical, I am symphonic, I am like a woodwind that stringed instrument that
your fingers caress and glide from b to C to D, play me in your key.
I am a Cuban drum rocking to the beat as your voice in baritone and sometimes
tenor
Makes the soprano in me complete, play me in your key. Tune me pianissimo
like you
Would a concert piano, in the cords of I love you, thank you for being my wife,
once again in the cord of C, play me in your key.
I am your medley as you play me by ear, I am you reprise and your refrain, I
sound like angels voices, play me with one hand or two let me make musical
notes for you. I am your tune your note your melody as you play me in your key.
