Plant Me a Rose
Plant me a rose that blooms all spring, summer and fall
a rambling rose that clings high covering my garden wall
Plant me a rose with a glorious hue of color of delight
a fragrance rose that perfumes the air all through the night
Plant me a rose with thorns a plenty so people unlikely to pluck
a rose of beauty so profound to lovers it bestows its luck
Plant me a rose that shares my heart and shows in itself a dream
a rose that inspires prose of poetry with words that forever cling
