PINK CHRISTMAS KISSES-------POTD

He told me he loved me. It was winter and snowing. We walked on the street. In a suburb, what a treat. Houses aglow, Rudolph outside. I wanted Santa there to go for a sky ride. Mom had her pink flocked tree in our bay window glowing. He kissed me then, I hoped my blushing was not showing. That does seem, like centuries ago. That innocent kiss, so blessed by the snow! It was so crystalline and pure as were we. Kissing so sweetly,in front of Mom's pink tree. The years are gone, so is my Mother, like her! Oh.no, there shall never be another. God, eventually, calls us to our eternal home. Where happiness and peace do exist and we never want to roam!             4/29/2021

Hi Birthday Woman! It was emotive for me as well. And for saying. it was a much deserved honor. I look forward to being with the Lord. I know we have jobs to do in heaven, I have no idea what they are. I know heaven is as real as here. Being Faved by you. Is utter sweetness. Thank you.I have no arrogance that I am a good poet at all. )) Just trying to make a difference in this zany world.... Hugs, Pangie xx

Gershon, I dont get the red tears. Mom died when she was 88. I was not crying, the Christmas I referred to.the memories are more beautiful than I have the poetic skill to pen with. Elmwood Park, then was a brand new suburb, so close to River Forest, it was called, River Forest Manor. It was fairly empty. Now? Houses upon houses. After HFA, I went to Trinity HS, in River Forest. College Prep HS. So glad you posted, dear friend, cheering me on Pangie.xx ****SOUPMAIL****

Thank you for your congratulations, Jennifer! I hope May is glorious for you. Mom died years ago but her birthdate is May 12th. She's very much alive in me. Mom was a natural in decorating a home. I am creative in comedy and Poetry. Oh that tree! All my family still raves about it. Anyway, a surprise to see the POTD. THANK YOU. Pangie xx

Kudos, Pangie, on your POTD. I must try this. First a pink gin at the Pink Flamingo (a bar I used to frequent) then a ride in a pink cadilliac until finally a pink kiss. This jewel POTD shines like the Pink Panther!

Hey, Daniel, How are you? And a special thanks for your congratulations! Very thoughtful poets do that. It gives me a clue about your heart. Years ago, they flocked trees pink. They were rare! Huge things, that make today's, boneheaded, skinny, faux trees~ quite unsightly and depressing. Mom had special spotlights that made the tree, yet more stunning. Huge pink balls that sparkled. Never have seen anything like them...these were frosted, also.you bad boy! Kissing girls under mistletoe? That was so fon, was it not? You wild thing~ you. Thank you for commenting....I enjoyed your comment. Merci Pangie xx

Happy May, Gordon...I am honored you stopped by. I thought men would not lime this poem? How very wrong I was. Learned my lesson! Men love beauty and romance. Think of Shakespeare! His poetry is full of heart and love. He didn't write about the joy of fixiing a drawbridge, did he? He wrote of humanity.....)) Pangie xx
