Picture Perfect Contest - a Wonderous Show
I am sitting here on the sand
knees bent, arms hugging them close.
Looking in wonderment at the sky,
an artist's hand is painting its finest work .
First, a splash of red to lighten the dark sky,
followed by lighter tones of orange
to bring out the nights glow.
Then the yellow is applied, to raise it up
to be the most beautiful sky, a wonderful show.
But nature has more to enthral us,
silently wending their way through the nights sky
I see large birds returning home.
Their silhouettes completes the picture,
black shadows against a bevy of fiery hues.
Nature brings us pictures anew to remember with ones minds eye,
I will try to emulate the scene with watercolours painted with love.
