Philosophying

I wonder, have we come to the end? The world in chaos, in downward trend. Is this all of our beautiful tale? There's magic to ponder and regale. Icarus led us so close we burned? That's a lesson needing to be learned. Is innocence tossed on ships of hate? Temptation lingers beyond truth's gate. Is majesty wondered or turned frail? That's found in all, large and tiny-scale. is a place found for wild in our world? There's hidden magic in manes unfurled. Imagining, where is beauty found? The sunsets, stars, gentle evening's sound Is life an illusion and then gone? Trust in your heart, find forever's song. Is earth to survive the tempest's wave? That's on our shoulders to try to save. thanks for the info, Rico. I knew your last line was true, and then we stamp our feet when another country tries it. Yet Puerto Rico wanted to be and we wouldn't take them, I guess because it isn't a rich country. I'm sorry about Hawaii. I was ignorant. Aloha!

Yes, The USA officially apologised for overthrowing the Hawaiian Kingdom, but has not relinquished control as there is money to be made and the islands provide a strategic defense location. The USA has a long history of illegally acquiring territory! Aloha!

Hi Rico! I saw a program about Hawaii on CNN. A woman activist said Hawaii had wanted to be its own country, not part of the US and that the US stole it. Is that true? If so, we probably stole Alaska, too.:(
