Perfect Strangers

god or goddess the first impression flawless, mysterious, intriguing from afar a Monet in a darkened room a single shaft of light its heat needed its beauty charming its knowledge desirable to embrace and acquire the enlightenment head over heels gymnastic feats by fire of light held in the bosom ever so closely til carnal bodies burn yearn for more the lamp of truth in daily experience dripping wax upon the fingers of unwitting hand dropping the candlestick its light snuffed its wax form broken still strung along awaiting tender touch of warmth should repair rolling tumbleweeds an estranged hand flipping the switch spontaneous combustion joy and sorrow the accumulation knowledge and folly strangers no longer or so thought new strangers now lovers old lovers now strangers no longer perfect up close a Monet who will step back?
