Peace Always

Lennon's music still plays in our cars
as we travel across the countryside,
yet masses have to die for elections.

Michael Jackson's "Earth Song" still plays
in our earphones, yet the sounds of guns
and bombs can be heard across the Middle East.

Spiritual teachers preach love and compassion
at the altar and temples, yet canisters are being
hurled at innocent immigrants seeking a better life
for their children.

Music and poetry is not enough!
We should walk the talk, and join our hands
together to make a difference.

Preach peace in schools;
Preach peace in temples;
Preach peace in Facebook;
Preach peace in Twitter....

There are no gods or beings from higher dimensions
who'll bring us the Golden Age;
we are the people who we were waiting for!

Congrats on your win my friend.. "Music and poetry is not enough! We should walk the talk, and join our hands together to make a difference." Nothing is ever enough as man is inherently evil. Enjoyed reading this poem..A7
